The Running Well Store
A powerful example of community partnership is our work with The Running Well Store, which has helped provide more than 1,000 pairs of shoes to neighbors experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity. This partnership shows what can happen when local businesses, volunteers, and community members come together to meet a real and immediate need with dignity and care.

Join Us at the Table
There is room at the table for individuals, businesses, organizations, service providers, and community groups who want to make a meaningful difference with Open Table KC. We are grateful for every message, idea, and offer of support, and we welcome partnerships that allow us to work together, benefit one another, and better serve our Kansas City neighbors with dignity, care, and practical support.
First Watch has generously supported Open Table KC by donating food for our weekly outreach meals and providing gift cards that can be used for special giveaways. Their contributions help us serve our neighbors while also creating small moments of encouragement and joy within the community.
Shinwa Alliance regularly blesses Open Table KC with generous donations of fresh fruits, vegetables, and a variety of breads that help provide nutritious food to our neighbors each week. Their ongoing support allows us to offer fresh, wholesome items that might otherwise be out of reach for many of the individuals and families we serve.
SOBBR Life supports Open Table KC by providing volunteers who serve alongside us during our weekly outreach events. Their team steps in wherever help is needed, whether serving meals, distributing supplies, or connecting with our neighbors, helping to ensure each Tuesday runs smoothly and every guest is welcomed with compassion and respect.
Free Hot Soup Independence has been a valued partner in serving our shared community. Through the leadership and dedication of Managing Director Wendy, the organization regularly shares extra food from its Sunday outreach and provides volunteers who serve alongside the Open Table KC team each Tuesday. Their generosity helps extend the impact of both organizations and ensures more of our neighbors receive the care and support they need throughout the week.
Elevate 114 Luxury Apartments supports Open Table KC by generously allowing Open Table KC volunteers to sort, organize, and prepare donated shoes from The Running Well Store before they are distributed during our weekly outreach. They also help expand our reach by allowing us to share volunteer opportunities, shoe sorting events, and our Amazon Wish List through their resident community portal.
Every other Tuesday, Care Beyond the Boulevard joins us to provide free medical care to our neighbors during outreach. Their compassionate team offers healthcare without requiring insurance, identification, appointments, or the ability to pay, making quality medical care accessible to those who need it most.
Every Tuesday, U Matter Movement joins us at Winner Park with dedicated volunteers and essential supplies to help meet the immediate needs of our neighbors. Their generosity and consistent presence strengthen our outreach each week, allowing us to serve more people with compassion, dignity, and care.
Week after week, Dough'pamine Queens Bakery fills our dessert table with delicious homemade treats for our unhoused neighbors. Their generosity has become a beautiful tradition, bringing smiles to so many faces and reminding our guests that they are cared for.
